How to Solve VW 2018+ UDS Remote Not Working Problem?

 Here comes the common problem on VW Amarok Caddy etc 2018+ UDS protocol vehicles:

1)  2019 VW Caddy. I spent a few hours trying to program Xhorse key with VVDI2. Also tried TDB1000. Failed to get remote working. Each time programming failed original remote stopped working until I scanned and cleared errors.

2).

Add VW Amarok 2018 key fine with autel im608, car starts but remote didn’t function.  I expected it to work when the transponder was added(Megamos AES)……I can’t access any remote learning with any of my tools, vvdi2 did not let me program the remote either. was wondering if anyone could confirm remote learns with transponder or how to learn it if it doesn’t?

Solution:

It is not possible for BH remotes after 2018 latest.

You don’t get communications with remote central locking adaption.

You need dealer key 100% and then learn by ODIS.

There is no After Market solution, VAG has blocked the remote channel on UDS vehicles 2018+.

Had the exact same issues with new Caddys. So dealer key and Odis atm as the channel only opens at the programming stage.

Only Odis opens it at that stage, you can’t even use an After market precoded key apparently has to be OEM.

Programming remote:
Diagnostically up to mid 2018.
Important Note:
After mid 2018 VWG Removed the option in the BCM to allow programming the remote separately from the transponder and the dealer tool opens the remote programming channel during key programming. No aftermarket tool allows the remote programming procedure from id 2018 at time of writing.

But some people had luck with these tools (with dealer key). Try if you have them in hand.

1). I used lonsdor k518ise last time. Under remote section, just go through all of them till you get one that works. Smart Pro can do it as well.

2). In Brazil people do it with xtool x100 pad3. I’ve already managed to program a key of a Brazilian 2018 VW (Voyage) I programmed separate chip then remote successfully.

Which Tool to Program Benz W163 2002 PCF7935 Key?

 Question: Does anyone have experience with this key, it’s pcf7935 – Mercedes Ml 270 2002 W163, can do it bench?

Key Cloning:
If you want a spare key without remote you can generate it with xhorse mini key tool via 7935 chip and car will start.
Xhorse can do but if not work try another position from 1 to 8.

But better not clone this key.

If you clone it and start the van then the original key will not work. 
This key cannot be cloned. It’s like all other rolling code. It will work once or twice if you are lucky then the original won’t work either. Same as the bmw ews system. Better program it.

Key Programming:
This is 2min OBD2 job with Avdi/Fvdi. First you have to prepare 7935 transponder for ML and then code it to the car!
it’s a eeprom/bench method only for the transponder. I believe the remote portion won’t work.

fvdi does the transponder only, you can install an aftermarket remote. And for easy method get the KR55 programmer from mbe.

How to Fix Openport 2.0 Clone to Allow Network Connection?

 In the previous post, we discussed how to choose a high-quality Tactrix Openport 2.0 Clone. Today we share another guide for correct resistors in order to make it work with the network connection.

The HQ openport 2.0 clone does not allow network connection without modification. Otherwise, it will brick the device.

 

How to Modify Tactrix Openport 2.0 Clone to Enable Network Connection?

Here are the tips to modify the Openport 2.0 HQ clone with black board to avoid damage when connecting with the network.

 

6 resistors were soldered in each ( check table of replacements ) to bring them into line with the original, one additional resistor and two electrolytic capacitors were soldered to the LM voltage regulator (aka LD-shka, aka AMS1117). And both work and are not afraid of the Internet.

In parallel to C8, 10 uF ceramics are soldered.

LM-ke for output 1 and 3 electrolyte 100×25.

But in pulled up to the plus through a 10k resistor from C12.

Butpin 53 output – 10k pull-up connection points.

In sum in order to replacing the resistors on the Tactrix Openport 2.0 Clone, you can do the following:
1). To capacitor C8, soldered a ceramic capacitor of 10 uF
2). On pins 1 and 3 of LD33, added an electrolytic capacitor of 100 uF, 25 V.
3). From plus C12 to pin 53 (P2[10] /EINT0) LPC2364, added a 10 kΩ resistor. This modification prevents the bootloader located in the LPC2364 from starting when the RESET command is given to the microcontroller.
