Which Tool to Unlock Toyota 8A BA Smart Key?

Problem:

It’s a Toyota Harrier with 8A BA smart key. I tried to unlock a xp400 pro with AUTEL IM608 but its not supported.

Board number is 231451-3014.
Can these be unlocked or renewed?

Solution:

This 8A BA key cannot be unlocked by Autel.

Method 1: Unlock 8A BA smart key

Problem:

Failed to unlock a 2018 Toyota 8A smart key with EoneBoss TLK1 remote unlock device. However, it did a 2022 8A model. Any idea?

Solution:

The P4 page of this 8A smart key is A9.

EoneBoss TLK1 will unlock original Toyota/Lexus 8A 8A-AA BA B9 B8 smart keys.  It cannot unlock original 8A A9 smart key.

 EoneBoss TLK1 Toyota smart key unlock tool cannot recognize the Toyota key?

Solution:

1. Confirm the key type
TLK1 only supports original factory Toyota/Lexus smart keys with the following chip types: 8A / AA / BA / B9 / B8.
Other key types will display “Incorrect Key Type,” which means the key is not supported.

2. Place the key in the correct position

The smart key communicates with TLK1 through a built-in 3D inductor.
For proper detection, The 3D inductor of the key must be placed inside the induction coil of the TLK1.

As shown in the picture below, if the key is placed incorrectly, the 3D inductor will be outside the TLK1 induction area,  and the tool will not be able to recognize the key.
Correct key placement is essential for successful detection.
