Keydiy KD-X4 Program 2021- Ford BCM Key without PIN

Keydiy KD-X4 key programmer will release new Ford Immobilizer software soon- supports 2021+ Ford key programming by reading BCM module data. Keep an eye on the software upgrades.

 

Here is an example of adding a spare key on a 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E using KD-X4. Keydiy will do both add key and all keys lost. All keys lost share the same procedure.

The same procedure goes to 2021- Ford F-150, Focus, Bronco, Mondeo, EVOS etc.

BCM: R7F701053 or R7F701073

This function requires removing BCM module and back up immo data first.

The BCM is located on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Remove the BCM module.

Connect the BCM and the KD-X4 MCU cable according to the wiring diagram.

Connect Keydiy KD-X4 with tablet or phone via OTG connector.

Go to IMMO Programming function.
Select KD-X4 device- Programmer function.
Select Read file function.
Choose Ford- BCM R7F701053 or R7F701073

Read and save BCM data.

Reinstall BCM module back to vehicle and add key in car.

Select IMMO Programming- Ford- select by type- Keyless System- Type 35- Add key or All keys lost.

Follow KD-X4 App prompts to add a spare key.

Download and install App. Select NK001 device.

Choose Smart Key Copy function.

With the identified original smart key information into an original or 3rd party key. It can be used directly without programming in car.
NOTE: NCF29AG is not supported. The remote control function may conflict with the original car key and some 3rd-party keys may have incorrect button functions.

What key can be used to copy?

• Eoneboss smart keys
• original smart key
• other 3rd party smart keys.

NOTE: If you are not using the EONEBOSS smart keys, the daily copying limit is 5 times. If you use EoneBoss’s keys, there is no daily limit on copying.

NK001 can copy 70%-80% NCF29Ax series smart keys. Key list is too long. Better provide year and model to us to verify.

This is an advantage over Keydiy and CG devices. With KD, the original key data must be written into a specific ZB71 remote key. Eoneboss, on the other hand, provides greater flexibility when choosing new keys.

 

How to Copy NXP smart key with EoneBoss NK001?

EoneBoss NK001 App will show the key wiring diagram.

Connect the key according to the diagram based on the chip on the smart key.

*EoneBoss will release solder-free adapters soon.

After solder wires on original key, hit Next step to read and save key data.

Disconnect original key.

Solder wires on the new smart key to be copied.

Then write original data to the new smart key.

Keydiy KD-X4 Add 2025 VW Jetta MQB49 5C Key

New user report:

Add a spare key for 2025 Volkswagen Jetta. It was a twist start.
KeyDIY KD-X4 failed to disable SFD2 via internal service.
SFD2 successfully disabled via online GRP access in:
* Electronic Central Electric (0009)
* Instrument Cluster (0017)
* Data Bus OBD Interface (0019)
Key programmed successfully with full system access during session.

I could program a Keydiy generated remote even though the ID matches their server database.

 

 

Copy Toyota Supra BDC3 Key with Keydiy KD-X4

User feedback:

Adding key to Toyota Supra is now an easy job.

Supra now it’s not a Toyota, it’s BMW with a Toyota label. Supra is BDC3 system.

Add 2021 VW ID4 MQB49 5D Key with Keydiy KD-X4 via Clip Adapter

User report:
Added a VW ID4 2021 MQB49 5D spare smart key with Keydiy KD-X4 successfully.

5d key added no problem, no sfd unlock required, all went smoothly.

For my first one, used a genuine 5D key, only downside was had to open up new key to write data. If you use genuine key this is the only way.

Using a universal 5D 5C clip adapter to read key data.

Keydiy also KD FGB25 5D key. These work well, but KD FGB25 doesn’t have UWB, so door touch functions wouldn’t work if the car has UWB, but 2021 may not have UWB. I did a 2024 Cupra the other day with the same style key but had UWB. Customer didn’t mind as they wanted a cheaper spare but I did tell them prior to doing the job.

How to Add NCF29Ax Series Smart Key with Keydiy KD-X4?

Keydiy KD-X4 and KD-MAX update NCF29xx smart key synchronization function (read original key data to copy/add smart key) on April 17th, 2026.

Keydiy will read original key data for the following smart key chip types:
NCF29A1
NCF29A4
NCF29A2
NCF2953
NCF29A3
NCF2954

 

Device used:

• Keydiy KD-X4 or KD-MAX key tool
• Keydiy ZB71 smart remote (Must write data into the KD ZB71 remote!!!)
• Keydiy #13 NCF29xx interface board
• Original key

NOTE:

Update the KD device App to the latest version.

It is not a simple read-and-copy procedure. Some keys require removing the chip and solder onto the KD interface board to read OEM key data.

Don’t need to generate remote program before reading key data.

 

Procedure:

Step 1: Remove the chip from the original car key.

Disassemble the original smart key and remove the NCF29Ax chip from the OEM key.

Step 2: Solder the chip onto the KD #13 NCF29xx adapter

Connect the KD #13 adapter with KD-X4 or KD-MAX.

Step 3: Read chip data
Go to Remote Function- Smart Key Clone- Universal Smart Key Synchronization.

Synchronize the remote data and key ID of the original NCF29Ax single chip to KD ZBX and ZB7 series smart key.
It can be used directly on the vehicle without programming.

If don’t have KD #13 adapter, follow the wiring diagram to solder wires to the key circuit board.

Read Chip Data.
Save chip data.

Remove the #13 adapter from KD-X4.
Resolder the chip back to the original key.

Step 4: Write the chip data onto the KD ZB71 remote
Connect the KD 29AX and 29A7 series smart card using 6-pin programming cable.

Connect the programming cable with KD-X4 device.

Generate dealer key.
Generate dealer key successfully.

Install the key shell to the KD ZB smart remote.

Don’t need to program key in car after writing KD remote.
Test the KD and OEM key’s function.
