Topdon Rlink Update Nissan Driver for Consult 4 R2R

 Topdon Rlink is officially certified by Nissan as a J2534 passthru device for Consult III Plus R2R OEM online subscription.  Now Rlink updates Nissan driver to support Consult 4 R2R software.

Consult3 Plus R2R vs Consult 4 R2R

CONSULT III Plus R2R provides affordable, J2534-based access for diagnostics and ECU reprogramming on older Nissan/Infiniti vehicles, while CONSULT 4 is necessary for the newest platform vehicles (e.g., 2023 Ariya and newer) .
CONSULT III Plus R2R:
  • Software supports diagnostics functionality on all Nissan and Infiniti 2018 model years or newer vehicles.
  • Software supports all ECU programming/reprogramming & configuration on 1999 model year and newer vehicles and 2018 model year and newer for VIN writing into ECUs.
  • Software does not support Immobilizer diagnosis. Immobilizer diagnosis can be completed by authorized and registered Security Professionals using CONSULT-III plus software.
  • It is recommended the latest version of CONSULT-III plus R2R be installed before connecting to a vehicle.
Consult 4 R2R:
  • Software supports full diagnostics functionality on the following Nissan and INFINITI models: 2023 ARIYA and newer, 2024 Rogue and newer, 2025 Kicks and newer, 2025 Murano and newer, 2025 Armada and newer & QX80 and newer.
  • Software does not support Immobilizer diagnosis. Immobilizer diagnosis can be completed by authorized and registered Security Professionals using CONSULT-III plus/CONSULT 4 plus software subscription.

There are two driver modes for NISSAN.

How to Use Rlink J2534 with GM GDS2 Tech2win?

 Topdon Rlink Lite/Rlink X7/Rlink J2534 supports J2534 diagnostic standard and CAN FD communication protocols. It supports diagnostics and programming via GM- Global Diagnostic System (GDS2/DPS/RDS3/Tech2win/TLC). Here we will show how to set up Rlink J2534 with GDS2 and Tech2Win software (both OEM and cracked versions).

 

Part 1: GM GDS2 Software

 

1.GDS2 OEM Version 

 

Procedure:

Download and install Rlink Platform driver from Topdon official website (CHECK HERE).
Connect Rlink device with laptop and vehicle.
Run Rlink Platform driver.
If the connection is normal, it will display that both the vehicle and the device are connected.

Click Driver Management– Driver Info.
Check whether the GM driver is downloaded.

Download GM PDU and J2534 driver.

Once the driver has been downloaded, click on the driver to view its instructions.

Select Rlink mode for diagnostics.
Then close the Rlink platform.

Download and open the Techline Connect Software.
Click the “Connect Vehicle” button, select Rlink VCI and then click Continue.

When the vehicle is properly connected, the VIN will be automatically identified.
If the identification is not successful, you can click the vehicle button to input the VIN code.
After successfully identifying the vehicle, click on GDS2 to enter the vehicle diagnostic mode.

After entering the GDS2 diagnostic mode, click “Enter” to conduct vehicle model diagnosis.

2. GM GDS2 Crack Version

Connect the Rlink J2534 to the vehicle. Then open the Rlink Platform.  Download GM driver and select Rlink mode.

Install GM GDS2 cracked version. You can use the GDS2 crack software for vxdiag. But don’t use GDS2 patch for vxdiag. (VXDIAG GDS2 2025 software download)

Topdon has not released a patch for GDS2 yet. Users should activate GDS2 crack via keygen (contact our customer service to activate gds2 crack via keygen). Topdon Rlink team is working on a new patch for GDS2 crack.

Run GDS2 software on the desktop.

Click Diagnostic and choose Rlink driver mode. Then click Connect.

Click Enter to start vehicle diagnostics.

Select diagnostic information based on the diagnosed vehicle.

Part 2: GM Tech2Win Software

 

1.Tech2Win OEM Version

Follow the same instructions to download GM driver in the Rlink Platform.

Connect Rlink J2534 with vehicle and laptop. Select Rlink mode.

After logging in to the Techline Connect software, click on “Additional Tools” to open Tech2win.

Click on “Quick Start” to enter Tech2win.

T2W will detect the device as ArtiDiag VCI-D_PDU API Topdon VCI USB. Click OK.

If it’s your first time using it, you need to download the Tech2win data.

After opening Tech2win, don’t close it. Click on “Support” to proceed to the software download.

We can choose to download automatically and directly or customize the download.

Click on the “Custom” option to enter the download page, where you can select the regional version and language you need to download.

After the download is completed, click on “Close.”

Check Tech2win to confirm that the software data has been updated to version 33.004 (or newer version).

Next, select the option for diagnosis according to your own vehicle model.

2.Tech2win Crack Version

Follow the same instructions to download GM driver in the Rlink Platform.

Connect Rlink J2534 with vehicle and laptop. Select Rlink mode.

Download and install Tech2win cracked version (it is compatible with vxdiag tech2win cracked version).

Run Tech2win crack software on the desktop.

After opening, a VCI selection window will pop up automatically.
Select device as ArtiDiag VCI USB.

For Non-gm original VCI devices, this error E675228 prompt will mostly appear. Just click “OK” to continue.

Click the ENTER key to select the vehicle and the ECU, and then follow the prompts to conduct the diagnosis.

How to Use Topdon Rlink with Honda i-HDS Software?

  Tutorial: How to set up and connect Topdon Rlink device with Honda i-HDS OEM diagnostic software.


Compatible devices:

Topdon Rlink Lite/Rlink X7/Rlink J2534 with Honda License

 

Procedure:

Download and install Rlink Platform driver from Topdon official website (CHECK HERE).

Run Rlink Platform driver.

Procedure:

Run Rlink Platform driver.

There are two driver modes for Porsche:
For vehicle model diagnostics using the Rlink device, select Rlink mode.
For diagnostics using the OEM PT3G device, select PT3G mode.

That means Topdon Rlink can not only be used as emulator but also as a J2534 passthru device.

Close Topdon Platform driver.
Double click the software icon to open the PIWIS III.

 Topdon Rlink can be used as J2534 device for OEM Mitsubishi MUT3 software. Here we will show how to connect and use RLink J2534 with MUT3.

Rlink Mitsubishi License

Mitsubishi MUT3 software and online subscription

 

Instruction:

Download and install Rlink Platform driver from Topdon official website (CHECK HERE).
Connect Rlink device with laptop and vehicle.
Run Rlink Platform driver.
If the connection is normal, it will display that both the vehicle and the device are connected.

How to Set up Topdon Rlink J2534 for GM Techline Connect?

GM Techline Connect is General Motors' official diagnostic and programming software used for flashing modules, performing updates, and configuring vehicle systems.  In this guide, we walk you through how to install the GM driver and connect the Topdon RLink X7Rlink Lite and RLink J2534 to GM Techline Connect software.

 

Tools & Prerequisites

Hardware Required

  • Topdon RLink Lite, Rlink X7 or RLink J2534

  • Windows PC (Win10 and Win11 with admin privileges)

Software Required

  • RLink Suite Software (for device management)

  • GM Techline Connect (subscription-based)

  • Latest Drivers (GM-specific J2534 drivers)

 

Step-by-Step Connection Guide

Step 1: Install & Update RLink Suite

  1. Download and install the latest RLink Suite from Topdon’s official website.

  2. Connect the RLink device to your PC via USB and to the vehicle’s OBD-II port.

  3. Open RLink Suite and go to:

    • "My Device" (top-left) - Check firmware version.

    • Update firmware if needed.

Step 2: Install J2534 Driver

  1. Navigate to "Driver Management" (center tab).

  2. Remove unnecessary drivers (e.g., Chrysler if working on GM). One system only accepts 1 software driver. 

  3. Install the GM-specific J2534 driver:

    • Go to "Driver Download" (bottom tab).

    • Select and install the GM driver.

    • Verify installation under "Driver Info".

      Check your Rlink Suite and make sure you have ONLY the GM drivers installed.

Step 3: Launch GM Techline Connect

1. Run your web browser as Administrator (Right click on the browser icon and run the browser as an administrator. This ensures GM software can conduct necessary updates.).

2. Log in to GM’s Service Information Website.

3. Purchase a Techline Connect license (if not already available).

4. Launch Techline Connect (TLC) with admin rights (toggle "Run as Administrator"). Once you login to the GM portal, you will then luanch the software again with admin privileges.

Step 4: Check for Software Updates

Once TLC launches, it will automatically check for updates.

Ensure SPS2 (Service Programming System 2) is fully updated.

Step 5: Connect RLink to Techline Connect

Close Vehicle Selection windows for now.

You can attempt automatic configuration by clicking:
1). Auto Detect Tool
2). Auto Detect VIN

Select J2534 adapter

  • Click "Auto Detect Tool" to manually search for the RLink.
  • Alternatively, manually select J2534 under "Reprogram" mode.

Select "RLink" from the device list and click "Sumbit".

You should receive a window like this showing the list of possible devices to connect.

Select the Rlink, then click continue.

Step 6: Verify Connection & Begin Programming

Assuming the connection is successful, we should be back on this screen.

Once connected, the top-right corner should display:

  • "Diagnostic Tool Ready – J2534".
  • Auto-detect VIN (if needed) or proceed with module programming.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

1. RLink Not Detected?

  • Ensure USB driver are installed correctly.

  • Try a different USB port (preferably USB 2.0).

  • Restart the PC and reconnect the device.

2. Techline Connect Fails to Update?

  • Run the browser and TLC as Administrator.

  • Check firewall/antivirus settings (may block updates).

3. Programming Errors?

  • Ensure battery voltage is stable (use a charger).

  • Verify OBD-II connection is secure.
