Nissan Qashqai X-Trail Rogue Black BCM Lists

 I got a friend who made a Nissan Qashqai 2017 smart key with obdstar x300 dp plus but after key programming the first key stop working and the second one don’t work either.

This happens on smart keys only. It’s a common issue on 2014-2018 Nissan Qashqai / X-Trail /Rogue.  All tools (OBDSTAR, Lonsdor, Autel, AVDI, Truecode, Smart pro, Zedfull etc) including dealer have this problem.

These BCMs are on the black list.

The issue is when you delete all keys at the start of the add key process the ECU’s with those part numbers go to sleep and basically don’t wake up again.

BCM Immo box on most behind the glove box. Check the code on front and proceed with caution. If any doubts, send it to the dealer.

If BCM is dead. New BCM & dealer tool needed.  Replace the BCM and make new keys.

If you can read ECU flash and eeprom. Send dumps to experts to extract SKC from them. Then learn SKC to blank BCM with other tools.

Or BCM from dealer and OEM diagnostic.

 

There are some BCM part numbers that key programmers (obdstar, smart pro) warn you not to progam keys to because it will brick the BCM.

Those are the well know BCM part numbers and affected software versions. 

Tips and Hints

Pay attention to BCM part numbers listed which can be damaged by PIN reading – it is risky attempting to program keys on these BCM variants! Part numbers affected are:

284B1-4CB4A

284B1-4CB5A

284B1-4CE1A

 

Don’t touch these vehicels if vehicles messed up goes to dealer you have provably a $2000 pound bill. Not worth the risk.

Mechanical keys / flip are not affected by this , these are safe to do , this only affects the proximity keys, all region affected. And even the main dealer tool kills these as well, no tool can do an affected unit not even consult, this is why the dealers had a technical service bullitin warning them of this issue and the new parts required to sort the car. New engine ECU, new BCM, new steering lock is required.

If they find an affected BCM they must have to replace it before the key learning. If the car is already killed they will need engine ecu (because the dealer can not virgin used ecu) bcm, and 2 keys plus online coding with Nissan Consult.

Nissan Consult III “No VI/MI Detected” Solution

Here’s the working solution to Nissan Consult III diagnostic tool “No VI/MI detected” problem.

1.The software should be loaded on Win XP 32bit/64bit laptop

2.Well installed the device driver

3. Install license patch

4. VI serial number should be registered.

Nissan Consult 3 VI regeneration:

*Does not require vehicle connection during the registration procedure.

Administrator Menu:
This is a menu available only for the CONSULT-III administrators, which allows them to set and
register the serial number of the VI/MI’s to be connected.
Select Administrator Menu, display the password entry screen.
Enter the password and press OK. The Administrator Menu is displayed.

PASSWORD: nissanconsult3

Pay attention to spell with lowercase.

Registration procedure of VI/MI

1.The serial number of registered VI is input to “VI serial number”
To input the buynber again press CLEAR

2.Press Set.
The VI that is registered in the “VI list” is displayed.
To delete the VI that is registered, select from “VI list” and press Delete.

Advice:
The default browsing area of VI/MI registration setting files is “C:/ConsultIII/Config/Resources”.Save the setting files to the proper area by entering the proper file name.

VI/MI Configuration Screen
Register the default (frequently used) VI/MI. Also, you can easily identify any registration file by  assigning the same color as the color ring attached to the applicable VI/MI.

1. Connect the VI. This is to ensure that Consult3 can detect it.
2. Press Reflash to detect the VI that can be connected.
3. Press and select the VI that is to be set as the default from the displayed VI
To cancel the selected VI, ress No Default
4. Press OK
To cancel the setting, press Cancel.

The following describe the procedure to set a color to a VI. The same procedure applied to MI.
1. Connect the VI. This is to ensure that Consult III can detect it.
2. Press Reflash to detect the VI that can be connected.
All detected VI are displayed.
3.Press the list button of the VI that sets the color.
Select the desired color for setting from the list.
To cancel the color setting, press No Color.
4.Press OK.
To cancel the setting, press Cancel.

Done.

That is,

the “vi_device_name” is not correct, I was have the same problem with vas5054 and actia xs as passthru.

You need check your correct device name, It’s very important because consult need’s “call” your device driver.

Try on device properties to search the device name.

Nissan Consult 3 Plus Programming: Cheapest vs. Best Method

1. I looks like it’s a remote system using a bluetooth and is good up to 5 meters away. It also looks like it only works for OBD2…1996 and newer.

Connect Consult 3 plus to the computer and the vehicle: Nissan Altima year 2006

Connection method: via the USB cable or Bluetooth

Insert key into the key hole, turn ignition ON with engine OFF

Start Consult-III plus software

Click on “Connect” button on VIMI selection screen to connect with VI

3. CONSULT II supports reprogramming on 1999 through 2006 model year vehicles.
4. CONSULT III supports reprogramming on most 2003 through 2009 model year vehicles.
5. CONSULT III Plus supports ECM reprogramming on most 1999 model year and later and some TCM and ABS/VDC reprogramming.
6. CONSULT III Plus supports blank ECM and TCM programming. September 2013 Nissan and Infiniti began the phase-in of “blank” service part ECMs and TCMs. Depending on the model and model year, replacement modules come without software. When the replacement module is installed in an applicable vehicle for any reason, it will need to be programmed.

you need to edit the file DiagnoticTool.ini to enable reprogramming and also IMMO. Or if you have money to waste buy the reprogramming card and the NATS card. Add the following line to the DiagnosticTool.ini file

also make sure system management access_mode is set to 1. That should give you full access. That’s not to say that it will work if you do not have the correct calibration file in the reprogramming folder on the C drive.

I have a Nissan Murano Z51 3.5L CVT 2012Y, love the car except DOWNHILL ENGINE BRAKE CONTROL (AUTO ENGINE BRAKE CONTROL in the CVT.  I prefer to control the car myself and I like to use free wheeling to better my gas mileage. I’ve read that this “feature” can be un-programmed by a professional scanner.

Yes, on the Altima/Murano CVT, hill-assist engine braking is a feature that can be turned off.

Here’s the step-by-step using Nissan Consult 3 diagnostic tool.

If you are using a clone, Consult III Plus is a better choice.

Launch Starter in which we select Consult-III :

Press the Connect button :

Choose vehicle model Murano Z51 after 2010.v. and press the Select button :

Confirm the selection with the Confirm button :

Choose Diagnosis :

Select the type of Can- bus according to the configuration, in this case, the very first, and click the Next button :

Click on the tablet:

Choose System Diagnosis :

Click on Transmission and OK :

Moving towards Work Support :

Click on Engine Brake Adj. and Next :

Currently, the braking level is set to 0 :

Click on DWN fro several times, until the level of engine braking changes to Off :
