How to Add Audi MLB Key with VVDI Key Tool Plus and MLB Tool?

 The Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool works in conjunction with vvdi2 (pc software) or vvdi key tool plus. VVDI MLB Tool is used to calculate immo data and generate dealer key for Audi VW Lamborghini Porsche and Bentley MLB platform.

 

Here we shows how to use the MLB tool with vvdi key tool plus to add key on an Audi A4 MLB.

 

Main steps: 

1.Collect Key Data

2.Make dealer key

3.Learn key

 

Procedure:

 

Connect VVDI MLB Tool with key tool plus.
Connect short OTG cable with key tool plus.
The long USB A to C cable connects to VVDI MLB TOOL.

Place the original car key PCB in the key identification area of MLB Tool

Select IMMO Programming->Audi->selecy by type-> MLB Immobilizer systems-> Start programming
Make sure network connection is enabled.
Select 1-Identification Key
Read key information

Check 2-Connection diagram
Check corresspoding type
Here take an example of Audi/Bentley MLB

Remove components of original key (remove 2 capacitors, 100ohm)
Soldering cable to original key according to different colors as diagram shown.

Place the key with the MLB cable
Connect in the MLB key identification area.

Select 3- Collect key data
Press Yes to start acquiring data
It is recommended to read the vehicle information first then calculated immo file will contain all the IDs of the original keys.

Select the method.
The OEM key here is the VVDI MLB specialized key.
Using the VVDI MLB specialized key allows you to calculate the data free of charge points. and each specialized key can only be used to calculate the data once.

if select without VVDI MLB key, the calculation will deduct 200 remote points.

Acquiring data, put the key on the vvdi mlb tool.
This process does not require on-board collection.

The data will be automatically updated and calculated.
Save the immo data.
The data can be used to make dealer keys and learn keys.

Select 4- Make dealer key
Load IMMO data just saved.

Insert the new key into the key identification area of MLB-Tool and wait for the operation to complete

Next, perform key learning on the vehicle.
Turn on the ignition switch.
Connect vvdi key tool plus with vehicle via OBD
Place the key in the induction area

Select 5-Learn key
Turn off air conditioning and open the engine compartment cover before programming key.

Input number of keys to be learned: 2.

All keys need to be learned.

Load IMMO data to learn key

Learn 1st key
Keep the key 2 close to sensing coil. Press OK

Learn 2nd key
Key learning completed.

Test the key.
The smart function of the key is working as expected.

test remote control function ok.
test keyless entry ok.
test one touch start ok.
test Lock function ok.

Yanhua Emulator, DP4 or CG Pro for BMW 35128WT

 What is the best emulator to get for BMW FEM/BDC Bosch cluster with 35128WT eeprom mileage correction?

You have 3 options for this bosch 35128wt:

1.Yanhua emulator eeprom with their new adapter and very tricky to solder good and have good results. Read/write is no problem. and put id7 filter behind cluster for BDC.

Three short VINs are located in the EEPROM. It is necessary to change them to FF.

Emulator (35128)from YANHUA only work with VDO cluster. We did program many without any results.

2.Write eeprom with DP4(bmw7/G program) and add id7 can filter behind cluster. also no problem read/write. If give you only message after successfull write and read: “Unknown eeprom” but everything was good.

You can use DP4(elpro) without emulator for Bosch 35128WT (it will say “Unknown eeprom” after but write is ok, no need ID/Data separation, just C12 clip). But you need can filter if it is BDC system. There are some good updated plugin can filters for ID7 cluster, no-black screen. So need to take out SKF stopper.

One of our customers has used this method for BMW G 7-serie 2019 and worked well.

 

 

3. CG Pro. read/write with cg pro also no problems, only check first if correct read mileage, you have 3 options for 35128wt. need id7 filter for bdc also.

 

CG Pro cannot read chip ID, but can read/write complete EEPROM size (0x0000h – 0x3FFFh).

CG Pro has no issues with with writing with bosch, with other then bosch we had only 1 time success writing directly. also 1 time write only to existing eeprom.
for all others, you can use yanhua emulator eeprom and solder with microscope because the solderings from the legs overlap and short sometimes.

VVdi Prog is good programer but for reset this eeprom CGprog is better.

What Tool to Add Key Fiat Ducato 2022 Hightag AES Key?

 Problem:

A customer want a spare remote key to his Fiat. It was built on Fiat Ducato 2022.

The new Ducato have a Hightag AES transponder chip and the one that I have in stock for Tipo was a Megamos AES.

The dash was (finaly) uppdated to a new one with a color display in the middle. What device will program this new type key?

Here is the clue.

AVDI can code in a dealer ordered key and pin, Autel IM508/IM608 can read some of the pins but still requires dealer key.

Autel can do key if ordered from dealer already precoded , ID be sceptical that they could do precode by obd, abrites require you to read the bcm dump and they can precode from this.

Yanhua Mini ACDP Cannot Add Key 2022 Volvo via OBD Solution

 Problem:

2022 Volvo XC90. Successfully read immo data CEM icp with Yanhua Mini ACDP module 20.
But can’t add key through obd.
Say Unable to communicate when connected
To obd to add key. How to fix it?

Possible solution:

To add key Volvo 2022-, make sure you have license A303 activated.

1). Stared over and it worked with no issue.

2).  I had the same problem so what I did was program it under couple years before 2018-2019 it went thru fine.

3). Happen to me same thing with different model
Transfer the file to Autel IM508 and get it done.

4). Use Autel IM608 or Lonsdor K518 Pro.

Program Toyota BB 93LC66 Twist Knob All Keys Lost

 Problem:

Toyota BB 2012 Twist Knob system is supposed to be 4D, I tried Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus, Autel and Xpad and can’t be done by obd2. I take out the immo box and read eeprom 93lc66b but couldn’t open with any option on Key tool plus. Someone has done this job? Which tool or software can do this job?

Solution:
This can’t be done with Key tool plus or VVDI 2.
Put the key in the twist knob, short the ODB pins 4 and 13, and push the twist knob 7 times to force key-on.
After that, put it in registration mode.
Used smart keys cannot be registered without initialization.
To initialize the keyfree ECU, you can use Xtool X100 PAD3 or KPC Pro.
If you enter from Daihatsu with AutoIdol KPC Pro, everything is done via OBD and following the instructions on the tablet will complete the registration.

Mazda Keyless System Inspection Required Solution

 Here comes the similar problem:

Mazda 6 keyless 2013.Today costumer asked to program additional key to car, all went good both keys working central locks working, car starts with both keys, but on dash message come up (keyless system inspection required) anyone had this problem? how to get rid of that?

Possible reason:

That’s happens when the new key has different number of buttons, or different part number.

It has to be exact part numbers.

 

Solution:

You can fix it via All key lost, erase all keys and program two correct keys.

Either you have to program 2 OEM keys, or 2 Xhorse keys. It doesn’t work with 1 OEM and 1 aftermarket.

 

User report:

Had the same issue on a CX5. I had to use an Xhorse smart proximity key, then with special functions on VVDI Key Tool Max use the Mazda Smart key repair, read original key and write data over. Then perform all keys lost, rewrite original key and new key and the error was corrected.

Otherwise you will need an original Mazda key with exact ID, then do AKL and add in both keys.

 Problem:

Read VAG MQB data today, ready to make dealer key with Yanhua Mini ACDP2.

Keeps giving me this message “PCF-Key Adapter Version is Low, please update the adapter firmware”

Solution:

Go to the Special function and update PCF key adapter firmware.

How to Tell VAG MQB RH850 5A and 5C Cluster?

 What is the difference between VAG MQB RH850 cluster 5A and 5C? What device will read these clusters?

How to tell 5A and 5C cluster?

The best it is to scan the key, if you have one. If no keys present you can find out which is which by finding those little eeproms as on the picture.

EM = 5A: PCJ = 5C

Verify the chip on the board, if it marks EM, then it is 5A dashboard.
It marks with PCJ, it is 5C cluster.

EM = 5A

PCJ = 5C

What tool to read 5A/5C cluster?

No aftermarket tool at the moment can decrypt 5C.  For clusters with RH850 if it is 5A it’s doable Immo and Mileage and if it is 5C then Not Possible at the moment. 

You can read encrypted 5C data and display mileage only. No device yet to decode immo on it.

CG100X/Xhorse is not able to calculate even mileage for 5C, the same like AVDI abrites.

Cluster 5C comes up either VDO or Visteon, they both RH850, you can read and write at the moment only VDO for testing purposes with Xhorse unless they fix mileage.

 

 

CG100X, VVDI Prog, Key Tool Plus and Multi Prog will read RH850 5A cluster (CG100X for mileage only).
