Have collected lots of mini ACDP BMW feedback from users.

1. nice tool again. this stray with all the activations is also worth more (BMW CAS1, CAS2, CAS3, CAS3 +, CAS4, CAS4 +, FEM, BDC 8pin IC chip read and write ..)

2. currently i’m only doing bmw with cas 1-3 and ews my lonsdor can do cas 1-3 it will only add keys to 3+ and up. I just don’t like to solder so I figured this tool would simplify things a bit and make it faster

3. I got it since a week and i am excited
   M35080 Programming needs some improvements, there are some bugs (tested on 4 dashs, and its better to desolder)
   Serial EEP 24XX, 25XX, 93XX, 95XX works like a charm (but tested on only 3 Eeps)
   Tried several CAS4 to read with out any problems, Mileage reset works too
   CAS3 tested only 1 but read without problem
   On a nother group they reported to create successfully keys on FEM/BDC and CAS4

4. I just get it.
   Reading eeprom cas4 and make a key for f11 so far done.
   Cant say much more.
   cas4 reading eprom compared with vvdi reading and its matching 100%

5. All 35080/160 are possible, like all other programmer can do also.
   ACDP is also working with smartphone tethering so a router is not a must.
   Didn’t test if it works offline,
   Fem key making and mileage reset is confirmed by other users in WhatsApp group,
   I can confirm mileage reset cas3/3+/4, key making cas3/3+, key 868mhz refresh
   and frm programming
   But sometimes it’s tricky to place the probes correctly, it’s faster to use other programmer
   until you have figured out how to place probes correctly

6. I have it and have had it for more than 3 months now.
   It works perfect on all CAS types and for AKL but for FEM and BDC it still has a long way to go.
   Its also compitable via bluetooth so not only wifi is needed.
   Its a great and small tool, easy to use, compared to VVDI, R70, Upa and etc.

7. for FEM/BDC with isn or key make, you have to use module 2. For 35160/35080 BMW dashboard mileage correction, you need to get module 4.

8. Tested the Mini ACDP here with 4 CAS3 and one CAS4+ without any problems. For the first CAS3 I needed more than 5 minutes to place the pins correctly but after some experiences I needed only 30 seconds for everything. Important is that you use the small screw tools to clean the contacts.
   For FEM/BDC I use my Autohex II and for eeproms my other stuff like R27, Codiprog USB mk2 and Orange5.

9. something good to share: For FEM/BDC, 3 months ago, it needed FEM electric bridges to complete. Now update Mini ACDP to the newest version, it won’t need the electric bridges any more, and it is easy to use.

Audi A4 8K instrument cluster exchange by FVDI 2018

As titled, here's the guide showing the procedure for exchanging an Audi A4 8K instrument cluster exchange. Same procedure goes to Audi A5 8T cluster.

Procedure:

Step 1: Read gateway dump by Xhorse VVDI Prog

To do that you need to upgrade the Getaway controller, clip 25640

Gateway module location

Remove gateway module and read dump with VVDI Prog and eeprom clip adapter 

In VVDI-Prog software, select EEPROM 25LC640 (CLIP)

Read and save dump: gateway.bin

Install gateway module back to vehicle

Step 2: Virgin instrument cluster with FVDI 2018

Open 2018 FVDI software

Select Audi and software version v18

Select Special functions>Component protection A4/A5/A6/Q7/Q5/Allroad->Generation 2 all other modules of Audi A6 2004+ and A4/A5/Q5

Press Next to continue

Checking modules for component protection
This function allows the customer to adapt used parts on other cars.
Perform following steps:
1.reset the module to virgin state
2. Adapt the module to the vehicle you want.

Select Instrument Cluster and press NEXT

FVDI abrites requires to load EEPROM dump of the gateway module from the car where you want to build the  module

Here we choose to load the gateway eeprom dump read by vvdi prog

Load gateway eeprom dump

Press Next

Module learned to vehicle with success.

Done.

Yanhua Mini ACDP Reset BMW ISN 8HP EGS

Yanhua Mini acdp adds EGS ISN clear function. To perform this function, you need both Mini ACDP host and Module 11 EGS ISN authorization.

How to Clear EGS 8HP ISN with Yanhua ACDP?

Step 1: Prepare ACDP, OBP+ICP adapter, EGS interface board and EGS module

Step 2: Connect the EGS interface board 8HP end to the EGS module

Step 3: Short the CAN termination resister on the OBP+ICP adapter to the "CAN-R-Join" terminal.

Step 4: Connect the ACDP, OBP+ICP adapter, EGS interface board and EGS module.

Step 5: Connect ACDP with vehicle via OBDII port

Connect ACDP to EGS interface according to the diagram
Step 6: Go to BMW Programming function->Clear EGS ISN-> Clear ISN

Follow ACDP mini prompts until success.

Clone Mangoose Cable SP116 SP205/-B Review and Difference

What’s the main difference of JLR Mangoose SDD cable SP116 SP205 SP205-B and is it good to have a cloned unit?

What is SP116 and SP205, SP205-b?

The supplier numbers of the different Mangoose versions.

For the manufacturer codes

SP116 means Mongoose
SP205 means Mongoose Pro (-B I guess is just a revision)

I have been using the Mongoose clones for years.
Supplier was http://www.obdii365.com/. I am using JLR 130 and 134 on a designated 8,9″ Netbook and that’s absolutely sufficient.

I bought all around 10 adapters from them to also provide friends with that functionality. each of them worked fine so far.

I have used them so far on my X308 (2001), on a X308 (1997), X100 (1999), X350 (2005), X400 (2001). So far they never failed.

I have been screening DTCs but also programmed keys out of and into the safety module in a X308 and a X400. Even new keys could be programmed into a X400 so far. I will try this with my X308 this year too.
I also added a new instrument cluster (odometer) into a X400 when it had been immobilized by the change of the odometer.
All of this had been done in the JLR 130 in XP Pro SP3 on a Acer Netbook.

For me it makes more sense to have a “handy” device for fault detection and/or programming.

But this, of course, is up to everyone himself and it could be from 8,9″ to 14″ as I tested here:

 I once opened both – the original Mongoose Pro and the clone.

From the components being used there was no difference – might just be the programming.

But you have always to be aware what you are doing there.
Writing code into control modules is always a risk – power loss, loosened plugs. Always double check your arrangement.

How to install Volvo Premium Tech Tool PTT V2.7.xx

Here's the newer version Volvo Premium Tech Tool PTT 2.7.xx (i.e 2.7.25) software installation guide.

PTT 2.7 Installation Instruction

1).Prepare Windows 7 or Windows 8 , 10 x64  and update windows complete.

2).Extract or mount  image file Volvo PTT 2.7  ISO  bundle  installer. 

3).Run Tech Tool Installer.exe

4) Insert user validation Client ID : 123456 

User ID : m303773   Pass : 123456

5).Select manual client update notifications , wait for installation when after installation finish do not restart PC if when installation finish system forced restart windows you can restart it.

6).Open folder DeveloperPackage and install developerpackage file and patch.

7).Setting folder option show hide folder and uncheck hide extension for know file types.

8).Open folder C:\ProgramData\Tech Tools\Waf remove DtR and OtD folder.

9).Open folder and extract APCI+.rar and copy to C:\ProgramData\Tech Tools\Waf with DtR and OtD

10).Open Folder C:\Program Files(x86)\Client Update\Console\ and rename extension file CLUPconsole.exe to other extention not exe it.

11).Open folder C:\Program Files(x86)\Tech Tool\Tech Tool\ApciPlus\ and rename extention apcidb.dll to other extention.

12).Copy APCIdb.dll to C:\Program Files(x86)\Tech Tool\Tech Tool\ApciPlus\ and restart windows.

13).Extract PTT 2.7Full.rar to C:\TechToolLicenseEditor.

14).Run Get_HW_ID.exe and generated ID and open KG_Act for PTT 2.7 license activator and run KG_Act and insert HW_ID and put name and customer and WLGen_Techtools License manager and copy regkey.dat to TechToolLicenseEditor folder . 

15).Open TechToolLicenseEditor folder and Run Administrator Run.bat for PTT 2.7 activator.

16).Open KG_Dev for activator for PTT developer tools

17).Service and Keygen running edit First name and last name and select user type as developer.

18).Click "Create DB with new key" if you will get error sync ID populate error just start and close PTT.

19).Re‐created "Create DB with new key" and "Patch Login" 

20).Open PTT 2.7 and login User ID : XX78911 and close PTT 2.7 

21).Right Click 2.7reg.reg and Merge.

22).Open PTT 2.7 and Checking about PTT 2.7 you will see developer database.
