As titled, here's the guide showing the procedure for exchanging an Audi A4 8K instrument cluster exchange. Same procedure goes to Audi A5 8T cluster.
Procedure:
Step 1: Read gateway dump by Xhorse VVDI Prog
To do that you need to upgrade the Getaway controller, clip 25640
Gateway module location
Remove gateway module and read dump with VVDI Prog and eeprom clip adapter
In VVDI-Prog software, select EEPROM 25LC640 (CLIP)
Read and save dump: gateway.bin
Install gateway module back to vehicle
Step 2: Virgin instrument cluster with FVDI 2018
Open 2018 FVDI software
Select Audi and software version v18
Select Special functions>Component protection A4/A5/A6/Q7/Q5/Allroad->Generation 2 all other modules of Audi A6 2004+ and A4/A5/Q5
Press Next to continue
Checking modules for component protection
This function allows the customer to adapt used parts on other cars.
Perform following steps:
1.reset the module to virgin state
2. Adapt the module to the vehicle you want.

Select Instrument Cluster and press NEXT
FVDI abrites requires to load EEPROM dump of the gateway module from the car where you want to build the module
Here we choose to load the gateway eeprom dump read by vvdi prog
Load gateway eeprom dump
Press Next
Module learned to vehicle with success.
Done.
