KT200 EDC17 OTP Protected Not Write Solution

 Some people have problems reading EDC17 with OTP protected. For example Corsa D EDC17C18, OTP protected and KT200 ecu programmer not write other file.

EDC17 OTP ERROR solution:- think due to try to write FULL flash not partial. Please read password before writing file for test.

Must read password first to write full flash.

If you have other editor that you can do compare on Original and Modified file to see if any noticeable differences i.e. address location shift, if want send KT200 technician both files as would like to address this problem.

if you look in your KT200 Kit supplied, you will see 2 blue small adapter pins – these include the built in capacitors. There is no need to use external as connected, on CP and CV it is advisable to use if you cannot get connection.

Tips to Install Winols 4.7 software
Remember to change date to 11/11/2011 or you will get out of date error.
If you change the system time to 2011.11.11 in the black window, and then closed winols. Open it again and it works.
When you open winols, this cmd window comes automatically.

How to Get Autel European Fiat SGW Subscription?

 Autoauth is what Chrysler uses for user authentication for 2018+ SGW vehicles. FCA Chrysler doesn’t allow a tool into their secure gateway unless it’s registered with AutoAuth.

For US Chrysler Fiat SGW vehicles, it is easy to access with Auetl tools. You go to www.autoauth.com to register your USA serialed Autel for FCA secure gateway access to fiat, Chrysler , Jeep etc. you need a autoauth accout to get in for the handshake to the fca servers.

But Autoauth is only for US, how about European SGW access?

Fiat, Alfa romeo every time you need to bypass SGW. How to subscribe for get SGW access?  attached link?

 

You can use Star cable bypasses the sgw connecting scanner to diagnostic CAN lines on the star connector.

Renault Clio 2 UCH Repair Guide

 Here is the tutorial with component identification for UCH N1 / N2 / N3 based on repair experience with these units.

 

Symptoms:

internal electronic fault. Also dead immo light (never lights), cranks, no start

or interior light always on ( in dashboard door open signal always on)

or immo light not flash (not at all) on dashboard and the car not crank at all.

 

Some procedures:

1 – Check for all marqued diodes (cold joints, burned diodes, etc)
these are simple 2A SMD diodes like 1N400x series but rated at 2 amps

2 – Check for solders on the 40 pin black connector (reverse side)

3 – Check marked power supply capacitor as well its diode and 5V regulator IC (TLE4269)

4 – Very important resolder each Array IC ULN2003 ( can be other reference)

5 – Very Very important Resolder MCU / CPU with hot air or a very small iron tip with flux. Remind you this is a dangerous step as pins could solder each other! Use a magnify tool to check and re-check!

6 – Search for other cold joint over the main board

PS – We’ve repaired dozens of these units without replacing one relay. they appear to be very solid and reliable. They use a very new design since 2006. Latest UCH units are very reliable. you identify them as they are sprayed with varnish. New UCH units Clio 3 and Clio 4 don’t suffer this problem. But a simple resolder on these will solve many many problems.

Some people remove also 40 pin connector (not recommended for those that don’t have knowledge of microsolder) and resolding all smd resistance and condensers. They are behind this connector.
To remove it you can use big hotgun, but you need practice. Cheers.

Tips to Rework KT200 PCB

 There is no 3rd revision KT200 PCB. The picture with no green pcb board was an unprocessed pcb. All devices included green small pcb (decrypt module).

 

So the rework will be applied to version 2 with the green small PCB on the top of red.

*You are at your own risk.

If device is recognized by pc, can be identified and reset by kt200-update app (reset kt200), but main app does not see it.

The 16MHz resonator can be faulty so should be replaced to Murata 16 MHz (cstls16m).

For problems related to blockage in writing (always modified files not same as ori example edc16cp31)

One of KT200 users have solved them by applying partial rework on PCB .
some hints:

with quartz instead of oscillator – the authorization is only with power plug; at final he used ZTT 16.00X – more stable than original yellows one
Is mandatory to revise 74HCT125D 2xpc ; HEF4011BT 1x pc ; 74HC14D  3x pc; 74HCT245D 2x pc
L9613 seems ok ;
scotty diodes “74” did not changed yet but are not inspiring any quality – to be analyzed;
Still to do: small relay change with Omron 5GV-1 ; identify on pcb MAX485 2x pcs ; L9613 2x pc.
Can controller A82c250 normally should be exchanged with A82c251 for 24v compatibility

 

So firts item to change is original for oscillator part ZTT 16.00x and can controller A82c251 for 24 v, this will be OK for guys that deal with trucks.
