Comparison of Xhorse VVDI Prog and new Multi Prog programming on reading a TB28F400 chip in Volvo CEM 1999-2004.
With vvdi prog, you will need TB28FXX adapter. Solder chip to the adapter.
Connect 12V power source.
Select EEPROM & Flash->INTEL->TB28F400B5B (PSOP44)
Press Yes.
Read flash.
Flash is empty you see nothing.
This programmer only reads flash it does not write.
If we try to load it will give a write error.
In fact, it cannot erase it bring it to a zero state.
Accordingly, it cannot write it.
Then we try the new multi prog. We will see the visual difference between the multi prog and vvdi prog.
We need to remove the default eeprom adapter, then install a VH30 SOP44 adapter to the unit.
Solder chip to the SOP44 adapter.
In software, we select Immobilizer->Volvo-> Volvo (car model) Body Module TB28F400B5B
Read ID and flash data.
We see it passes pin detector it checks correctly all pins are installed.
It also passes verification, it is very useful option.
It is verified.
Read chip data successfully in quick 19s.
Write chip data also works. It writes flash in 30s.
