Repair VAG MQB RH850 Dead Dashboard with Yanhua ACDP

 Problem:

After using Yanhua Mini ACDP Module 34 to read Dflash from Seat Leon MQB RH850 R7F701402 (which it did successfully) dashboard now completely dead, managed to also read pflash but think it’s corrupted as it gives checksum error or something, can it be repaired?

 

Solution:

ACDP has an option to restore data and repair the dead cluster. Do following:

Take the 7F701402 instrument cluster as an example

Menu path:

Go to VW MQB IMMO (ODO)->MQB48/49 ODO- Method 2 (R7F7014xx 5A/5C/5D)-> R7F701402-A (5A/5C)-> Special function-> Full backup data.

Do full backup data procedure, send the whole volkswagen data folder (zip) to ACDP team.

If need to change mileage on the cluster, provide the mileage you desire, ACDP will modify mileage for you manually.

If need to program keys, they will fix flash data, you can program key with the restored flash data.

To sum up, ACDP will repair data manually if data is lost or has issues.

If using other device, there is no option to repair data. You may need to buy donor dashboard and adapt with ODIS online Geko.

Buy other dash adapt with odis geko. Buy new (no used) instrument cluster and learn via odis online.

User working experience:

Donor cluster and write dflash from old one onto it which allows to program the key, car starts and runs ok and ODIS used to configure the rest of dashboard.

Erase/clean crash data:

OBDSTAR P50 will erase crash data for this airbag.

Important Info:
Multiple writes to the same page location before erase ARE NOT ALLOWED !
For PFlash sectors maximum number (endurance) of 1000 erase and program cycles is supported. For DFlash sectors 125000 program/erase cycles are allowed.
If any Flash Read Protection is configured (PFlash or DFlash), the device will not be further accessible for the programmer!

Xhorse Multi Prog Read 2021 Nissan Sentra IMMO via RH850 Adapter

 Good news! Xhorse Multi Prog will also read Nissan immobilizer box RH850 on some latest models (i.e 2021 Nissan Sentra) with the RH850/V850 adapter.

 

The module is under the driver’s side dash.

Quick search R7F701019 (select Nissan IMMO (R7F701019))

Check the wiring diagram. To read this module, you will need to use MQB RH850-V850 adapter for multi prog.

Connect the IMMO box with rh850 adapter and multi prog follow the wiring diagram.

Read immo rh850 data successfully.

Which Tool to Program 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Smart Key?

 It is a 2024 Hyundia Santa Fe. All keys have lost with active alarm repossession. Completely new designed fob and insert key.

Smartpro, Autel IM608 Pro, OBDSTAR, Zed-full, autopropad all failed.  Tried every programmer. None list 2024. New key new system. Tried Kona with the same key. Couldn’t do it.

What programmer to complete the job?

Tips:

Key is essential. It’s fcc and ic #’s you have to match.

The alarm was not active. You can try removing door lock and actuate the door lock actuator and see if that disarms the alarm, hit or miss with the newer kia/hyundai. Its the same proximity, same security protocol. Might have to try under a different setting or under diag. Should still be a kk12 keyway just different code series. Either C,D or S series.

 

1.Autel

Some managed to work with Autel IM608 II.  You have to go through diagnostics instead of IMMO and get the PIN code from dealer.

Some reviews:

1).  Did a 24 Elantra with the same Key, just need the Pin Code.

2). Did a 24 Tucson same style, pulled pin code and programmed right in, has to be OEM and correct part number. Im 608 pro2.

3). I did a 24 Sorento last week with im508. In the diagnostics menu not immobilizer. Purchased PIN code from 3rd party.

4). Did a 24 Kia Kona. It will not work throw immo you have to go throw diagnostic.

 

 

2. OBDSTAR

Update Hyundai/Kia to the latest software. They add support for 2024 Hyundai/Kia new system. Try to read pin with network connection, if fails, you may need to buy pin.

 

Where to get the Hyundai and Kia security pin code?

There is a guy @Ameer Hasan on facebook who provides Kia & Hyundai Pin codes.

 

3. Using dealer tool. With the dealer software, they aren’t supporting key programming yet through j2534 device until third quarter of 24 according to Hyundai tech site.

 

FYI:

Newer models we had best luck with OBDSTAR or VVDI Key Tool Plus if it’s a 8A, 6A chip type. 4A and 47 Autel do great.

Yanhua Mini ACDP Clone BMW ZF 8HP Gen3 Gearbox

In ACDP App, select EGS function- 8HP Gen3 Clone (ZF TC275/TC277)


Connect ZF 8HP gearbox with ACDP via module 36 interface board.

Identify gearbox information


Verify system info and save data.

Select Full Backup data function

Confirm gearbox system info and hit Continue.

Read and back up data successfully. Pay attention to the file name and folder.



Connect a donor BMW ZF 8HP Gen3 gearbox with ACDP.

Select Full write data.

Confirm system info again. 
Upload original gearbox data just backed up.

Ready to write chip data. Don't disconnect device during the programming.

Xhorse VVDI2 Calculate VW Passat MQB ELV CS Code

 How to calculate VW Passat MQB ELV CS code with Xhorse Multi prog?

 

Multi prog only reads flash data from ELV. Need to decode CS code with VVDI2 or Key Tool Plus.

 

You will need:

Xhorse Multi Prog programmer

MQB RH850 cable for multi prog (to read ELV flash data)

Xhorse VVDI2 or VVDI Key Tool Plus

 

Here is an example of calculating the CS code from VW Passat ELV.

In Multi-prog software, select VW PASSAT ELV(5K0905861)(D70F3624)-LOCK-READ,

Check wiring diagram.

Disassemble ELV and connect ELV with multi prog via RH850 cable for multiprog

Read and save ELV flash data.

In VVDI2, go to Key Learn-> MQB Platform instrument immobilizer-> Instrument with locked NEC35xx (MQB48, VDO/JCI)-> Decode MQB ELV.

Load flash data read by multi-prog and calculate CS code.

You can also decode CS code with key tool plus via flash data.

 

What Tool to Clone VAG Delphi DCM6.2V ECU

 Is it possible to clone VAG Delphi DCM6.2V ECU? With which tool? 

Yes, clone is possible.

2 Ways:

1). Flash used (healthy) ECU to correct SW and adapt it online via ODIS. You need immo adaption before you can flash it. Not always possible and odis can fail on adoption used ecu to car.

2). You can use boot mode to read and transfer data for cloning the DCM6.2V

 

Way 2 need full decrypted reads of old and new ecu. You need same HW and SW ecu or as close as possible. Need full reads from each ecu.

Few tools can do this but Flex can make it in boot mode.  If you have Flex You can clone it, just read original and write full dump to new one.

Make full BOOT backup from both ECU’s.  Rewrite via boot full and finish.

TagFlash also able to clone DCM6.2V in boot mode.

 

 

KESS3
Does not support cloning of these ECUs yet.
Kess3 can only read/write these ecus in boot mode… but not to clone them because of OTP.
You won’t be able to write a full decrypted read with kess v3.

 

OBDSTAR DC706/CG FC200/Foxflash/KT200 etc

These programmers only read/write DCM6.2V on bench/in boot mode, they cannot clone this ECU.

DC706 reads DCM6.2V perfectly with P003, P003+ and MP001. All reads verified with each other and Immo data decode looks right. But it cannot clone this ECU.

Autotuner dcm6.2v works well in boot , fast read and write in a few minutes.

Autotuner, Flex and KESS3 will read DCM6.2V via obd VR, other tools boot mode.

 

Autel KM100 and VVDI Key Tool Max Pro Which is Better?

 Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Pro and Autel MaxiIM KM100 which is a better key tool to make transponder keys?

For Key Generation:

To generate blade key the best is Key Tool Max Pro and Keydiy, smart key you need Key Tool Max Pro and KM100.

So Key Tool Max Pro is good for both blade and smart keys.

There are a ton of keys not supported by the Autel ikeys that are on the Xhorse system. Plus all the Xhorse universal flip keys and remotes.

Xhorse has old EWS remotes, but it does not have any CAS, FEM or BDC remotes. But there is no remote regarding CAS3 or CAS3+.

On the Autel we have CAS4, FEM ID49 remotes. Autel is focusing on the new model and the new keys and has a few very old keys.

With Xhorse key tool max pro we can generate the VVDI Super Chips we can clone we can generate. Autel does not.

Autel will generate 868Mhz 902Mhz remotes, xhorse does not.  Autel has 6-button keys. But xhorse has lots of features. Xhorse Keytool so far best and largest support for car models and largest amount for keys.

 

 

For OBD Key Programming:

Autel does not make the Renault Clio by maker, tells you that if and at the time of testing the module remains without doing anything, you have to return the original file to pull the module again, and keytool max pro, you don’t have this issue. Key tool max pro cannot do many Chrysler but Autel Yes.

For a Touareg Autel does not do it even though it tells you that yes, when testing in the truck does not turn on and keytool max pro yes, it does it will.

Both have immo data processing.  Autel has also the bcm2, but you need to read the data and load.

We have the interesting part the BCM tool we can process which Xhorse doesn’t have.

KM100 has removed functionality on Ford/GM/Toyota AKL function in North America. Key tool max pro still does these fine. It works with Ford AKL cable to disable Ford active alarm. It also works with Toyota blade key AKL and BA 30-pin bypass connectors for various Toyotas.

Xhorse it’s easier to move files than Autel.

 

 

 

For Key Unlocking/Renew

What about unlocking keys? Like Nissan key fobs, you’d just go with the Km100?

Another difference is remote renew or remote unlock. They worked on different Asian brands.

If you check Hyundai Kia Autel has a lot of different PCB series and xhorse only two remotes.

But Xhorse has more PSA remote unlock than Autel.  Autel supports more Renault remote unlock than Xhorse.

If choose BMW this it’s a common well-known brand are the same except Autel has a few third-party. Nissan remote also the same. Volvo xhorse has two remotes and Autel have 5 in total.

KM100 is better on unlocking Toyota smart keys, Key Tool Max Pro fails some time Toyota/Nissan.

Overall, KM100 is better for key unlocking.

 

 

Connection:

Get the Max Pro that has the dedicated obd cable. The normal KTM works with a Bluetooth connection that likes to disconnect at random. Super inconvenient when doing a 10min timed access.

KM100 also works wirelessly.

 

 

In sum:

No device does everything. Both have strengths and weaknesses. Having both is not bad.

You’ll need both in the programming of keys and smart remotes take care of different teams to get the job done.

If you can only afford one, we’d go with the Key Tool Max Pro especially if you are in North America.
