How to change mileage from OBD on GM group with DPS software?
Here is all required to do Odometer correction on GM. This doesn’t work on all but does cover a lot.
Try on vehicle if odometer changes it works if not then doesn’t. You are at your risk.
File download: GM DPS ODO
Including:
GM DPS 4.52.2 software
sos
Odometer correction GM zip. calibration file
Procedure:
1). Check original odometer
2) Install DPS 4.52 included in package (see also how to install DPS 4.52)
3) Enable Type 4 Also included
To enable type 4 apps in dps the following must be done
Create a new directory
c:\users\(whatever your username is)\sps\native\libs
copy these files to the directory you created
dllsecurity.dll
tisvcsv4.dll
4) Connect to vehicle with j2534 (vxdiag vcx nano gm or VNCI MDI2) and select get controller info see if it returns data this means DPS can communicate with vehicle
5) Select Type 4 Application and choose the GM ODO correction zip DO NOT unzip
6) Will pop up asking you to enter mileage. Enter mileage you desire and then OK
7) Will work for a few seconds and then fail. The mileage will change though. If you find a good calibration file source. Try again.
8) Unplug turn off ignition and done.
