How to Open and Disassemble Audi MQB49 5D Key?

NOTE:

To read original key data and add a spare Audi MQB49 5D smart key with Keydiy KD-X4 or Xhorse vvdi key tool plus, you must generate original 5D key only.

 

Procedure:

Press this small button to take out the mechanical key.

Use a flathead screwdriver to pry up the small clip, and the back cover will pop open.

Pry off this back cover.

Gently lift up and remove the battery.

Insert a screwdriver into this position and push down 3–5 mm to pry open the key casing.

Then pry open the two side edges.
Lift it a bit further.

Pull out the two side strips, being careful not to break them.

Next, pry open the inner casing of the key.
Pry up to this point—do not pry all the way to the bottom to avoid damaging the key.

Repeat the same steps on the other side.

At this stage, use a screwdriver to gently lift the key circuit board, then remove the board.
