Top Cables to Disable Ford AKL Active Alarm

What cable is needed to stop the active alarm on a new Ford when lost all keys?

NOTE:

Only need bypass cable when the alarm is active, if not active you don’t need bypass cable. If it us active just look and see if they have e a door key pad. if so get the code off the bcm sticker and deactivate the alarm and then you don’t need a bypass cable.

1. Autel Cable

What cable is needed to stop the active alarm on a ford with the Autel im508 or im608?

Autel uses gbox2/gbox3 and you manually do the disconnecting and reconnecting.

How to use Gbox to disable active alarm?

Leave ground connected, then 1 wire from battery + to gbox then 1 wire from battery + terminal to gbox.
the tool controls power then.

The + from battery goes to the GBOX2, and the battery post connector goes to the GBOX2 also.
THE POWER IS GOING TO THE GBOX2 FROM THE BATTERY!! . GUESS WHAT THE GBOX2 IS PLUGGED INTO?  THE OBD PORT!!! .

Power from the battery goes to the gbox2, which gives power to the obd port. Gbox OBD connections are really tight.
The tools makes the connection of power and disables the alarm before it activates.

The tool switches the vehicle power on and off, its the whole entire purpose of using the Gbox2.

The gbox2 is acting as a switch to power on the vehicle. The whole entire purpose of using the Gbox2 is so the tool can control power to the vehicle.

Connection example:

2020 Ford F550 all keys lost with active alarm.

Autel really sucks at doing active alarm, I have been successful with it but it’s a headache. Roughly 20 mins of connecting and disconnecting battery.

Autel really needs to just make a real ford bypass cable.  Other tools out have bypass cable setup that works great.

2. OBDSTAR Cable

The OBDSTAR Ford AKL cable is a lot better than the Autel way of doing it. This is one of the main reasons many people buy the obdstar x300 dp plus or G3the OBDSTAR ford bypass cable and tablet do the actual disconnecting and reconnecting of the battery, you don’t do it manually like the autel, works much better.

3. Xhorse Ford Cable

Xhorse also has a Ford AKL adapter cable for 15+ ford’s akl active alarm, you just plug it into the bcm without removing it, it reads the flash file it needs and then you make the key.

This cable is designed for use with the Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus or Key Tool Max Pro device to support all keys lost jobs on Ford and Lincoln vehicles from around 2015 (varies by model) onwards with an active alarm. This allows you to bypass the alarm and remove the need to constantly power the battery on and off.

Use the auto pro pad and it works every time on the first try.

5.SmartPro

Did a 20 mustang active alarm. Had to do it 4 times. Very rarely it works the first time. Smart pro is very good for these.
