Q: Looking for a device that can do EDC17/MED17 IMMO OFF direct in software. What tool will do?
Immo off is something you have to do in the lines of “code” in the eeprom or in the microprocessor. It is usually can be done by tuners or 3rd party immo off software.
CG FC200, OBDSTAR DC706 will do IMMO Off for some ECUs but not many. Majority ecu programmer are not for IMMO OFF.
They are for reading, writing and cloning ECUs and modules.
OBDSTAR DC706 ONLY does IMMO Off on VW 7GV and Renault EMS3132 etc engine computers.
For other ECUs/ECMs, DC706 will not turn immo off on its own. It can flash a file with immo removed, if you have such file.
As for the CG FC200, it does EDC17/MED17 IMMO OFF direct in software, but it is not one-click IMMO OFF. Need to upload flash both D-flash and P-flash data to turn off immo.
